DETAIL & KETOLOCO WAREHOUSE PARTY 04/03/11
We have teamed up with Ketoloco to put on a typically special party on Friday March 4th. Headlined by house specialists Maayan Nidam (Miss Fitz), Burnski and Huxley, the party is going back to house music’s roots and will play out in a secret East London Arch warehouse til the wee hours of the morning.
On the night Wolf + Lamb and Perlon producer Maayan Nidam will be headlining the warehouse.
It's impossible to reduce Maayan's productions and DJ sets to a single sound, but certain qualities prevail: a looping, swinging, hips-and-ass-friendly sense of the groove; a bubbling sense of funk; a keen sense of timbre and tone colour, with a woolly low end and crystalline highs.
Joining her will be Burnski, the man behind one of 2010’s biggest hits (the slo-mo, disco fried house funk of ‘Malibu’ on Foss and Jones’ Hot Creations label) and similarly a man synonymous with excellent DJ sets at Leeds’ house music institution, Back to Basics, where he is resident. As if that wasn’t enough, London based Cecille and Tsuba producer Huxley completes the line-up with his own bumpy take on deeper house sounds.
